Cargo lights not working

I just bought a 2000 Ford Ranger SuperCab XLT, and I can't get my cargo lights to turn on...both bulbs appear to be good. All my other lights work. Any ideas? Aren't they suppose to come on with the door open?

Im not sure if they turn on when you open the door but I know in my '96 they turn on when you turn the dimmer switch all the way up.

they work only with the lights dimmer, they dont light with the door open

Hmmm...mine works when I open the door...but doesn't work when I turn the dimmer switch...maybe I wired it backwards...

o would like mine to work with the door, but im not sure to be messing the wires lol!!

Ah, that's what it was guys, it works off the dimmer switch. I might re-wire mine to go on with the door, but for now at least I know it works.
