ok i bought the 95 ranger without a radio in it, i got the radio out of my project ranger and put it in, it plugged in fine worked great, now im going to install a sony xplode cd deck, alpine amp and 2 type e subs in the ranger. i have power to the subs and they is bass coming through them but nothing on the speakers. i have come to find out that some rangers have that so called premium sound system and i need to bypass the amp. i cant seem to find it o im doing something wrong... i looked under the passanger kick panel and saw a 3''x4'' box bolted to the firewall is this it? i dont remember seeing anything behind the rear seats. i have tried two different wire harness scosche fd021 and fdk106 i think im going crazy with this thing already any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.
