Will this superchip work?

I recently bought a blue superchip from ebay. It is for a 98 ford ranger with manual transmission. My truck has an auto transmission. Will it work with my truck or should i get rid of it?

It'll work, but not noticably. Also it will short the ecm if you dont make sure and secure it in place. I had to use duct tape. Mine wasnt secured at first and my car would just stop, not stall, not die. Just stop. No power no start no nothing. It wiggles and then causes the short.

not noticeably? So is it worth it? I wont lose any sleep over the thing. I only gave 5 bucks for it, so if its not worth the trouble ill sell it. So what does it dom if anything?

Yea, its an actual blue superchip. It plugs into the ecu. Heres the link...
