ive got a 94 extended cab ranger with a 3.0, and a 5 speed manual... 4x4 of course. ive done alot of research, but there have been so many different options used in the ranger over the years, my brain is starting to fry. i would like to know what it would take to swap the 3.0 for a 302, the stock 5 speed for a T-5, and whether it would be more logical to put a carb on it, or if there is a fuel injection system off of a different vehicle that would require minimal wiring. alot of questions, i know, but i cant find alot of 3.0 to 302 conversions. the majority of the information out there is for a 2.9. thank you very much for your help in advance,

Troy

It's the same conversion reguardless of what engine you take out.

You still need mounts, exhaust, dual sump oil pan. and remote oil filter. You can run a carb or EFI If you run EFI make sure you get the computer from your doner vehicle.

As long as you take your time you should be ok.
