Last week I posted in thr Exhaust forum regarding a problem with a severely rusted and rounded off bolt in the exhaust manifold, the one that holds the dip stick in place and a friend came over and had it out in less than a minute.
The tool he used is called "BOLT OUT" and the set is sold at Sears. He told me that the set cost him about $100.00 when he bought it a couple of years ago. Today I exchanged a few broken sockets at Sears and went looking for the set he had to see what the price on it was now. I found the set and the current price is $59.99 BUT and here's the good part, right next to it they had a smaller set for 3/8 drive and the price was only $9.99 for 5 Extractors with the case and right next to that set was a larger set that is rhe rest of the full set and also only $9.99. I looked at the full set on display for $59.99 and just had to buy the 2 sets for $19.99 and save myself $40.00.
This is a set of tools that anyone that works on cars or trucks should have and I suggest that all of those reading this that haven't got these in their tool box should look into. They should be at all Sears tool departments.
