mouse trouble

My mouse is f ing with me. When I push the single click button on the left of the mouse, its like I pushed it twice. example, if I click the back button, it will take me back two pages. Its becoming a pain in my ass. It is the mouse with the red light under it, can I take it apart and clean it , or is it time for a new one. Thanks.

My old one did that too, it was very annoying. The detent spring in it was worn. Got a new mouse................all is good.

Are you sure you have not accidentaly set your computer to only require a single click?

If you do not use the click on the scroll wheel you can take the micro switch off that and replace the left button switch with it, depending on which mouse you have of course.
