first i would like to know the fuel tank capacity is? its just the base model xl, with the 2.5/auto, reg cab, short bed

is there any way to test the mass air flow sensor and the o2 sensor with a dmm or ohm meter?

my engine seems to shake a little at lower rpms. it settles down once the rpms go to about 1/3 throttle. does this whether the engine is cold or at operating temperature. im suspecting the MAF. ive cleaned it several times with MAF cleaner. any ideas on whats wrong?

16.5 gallons. there are ways to test those things with a dmm. just do some searching and you'll find it.

do you know if theyre all 16.5? i think i found somewhere that hte supercab with the 4.0 has a 19.5 gallon tank. i think mine is smaller than 16.5. just put in 4.5 gallons and it went from nearly on E to in between 1/4 and a 1/2 tank.

well, mine's also a 2000 2.5 regular cab short bed and its got a 16.5 gallon tank so yours should too, unless xl or xlt makes a difference but i doubt it. gas gauges can be deceiving so i wouldn't put much stock in its accuracy. i know mine seems to go slow through the first half of the tank and then the second half, it drops like a rock.
