just wondering if any body is running a cooler for their ps. friend of mine has one on his rack and pinion steering and he said it helps alot. i was wheeling the other day and the ps started whining like it was low..checked it the level was fine but it was hot as h*ll didnt know it this would create a problem or not! thanks

Yes I run an external trans cooler as my PS cooler.
Not sure how well it works.

i do! i put a little tiny ass car trany cooler on mine its like 4" by 10" it was flying around the barn so i snagged it up:icon_welder: i dont know if it made a **** for the temp? but if you drive a long time it would help out.

hey thats what i wanted to hear...didnt want to put one on and somebody be like hey you know thats completly useless!! i just started building my steering (3/4 hiems and 1 3/4 dom) so im thinking i might work a bit harder so i might need to do something!

I'm also running an auxiliary reservoir. The extra capacity and cooler help mediate the bulk fluid temperature. :icon_thumby:

What are you using for an aux reservior? Is it something you fabbed up or do they sell them? Do you think extra cooling is generally necessary on an RBV?
