I have 96 Ranger...and got a great deal on 2002 Explorer seats...how much touble will it be to swap them? They are power..can I just swap the tracks or is it more detailed than that? Let me know what you guys think.
Well you did not say if you have a reg cab or an ext, but just for the info side of it i bolted a set 2002 exploder seats into my dads truck(2006 ext cab), all it needed was 2 holes in each mounting bracket had to be opened up, and then just power ran.
Ok...just read this thead, I have a 1997 reg cab with 60/40 split...I just got a set of buckets from a 1998 explorer with the center console...will just bolt in and connect power?
If you have any '91-'01 Explorer seats in a '93+ Ranger extended cab, they will bolt in. I have done 4 or 5 swaps in 4 or 5 different Rangers without problems.
If you have any '02+ Explorer seats, you have to remove them from the Explorer seat tracks and bolt them to your Ranger seat tracks.
