Anyone know what the caster range is for a 79 Ford 1/2 ton with the HP44? My Hanes manual doesn't say. Thanks RB

well my machine tells me a 79 f150 4x4 exc supercab

camber 1.50 tolerance of -.5 +1.50
Caster 8.00 -1.50 +1.50
Toe 0.18 with -.26 +26

but an 78 is
Camber 1.5 -/+.5
Caster 3.5 -/+.75
Toe 0.18 -/+.13

Thanks, I'll use the 3.5 as I'll have to build a 8" Radius arm drop along with my 7 degree C bushings to get 3 degrees so 8 is ridiculous. RB

Could I use an adjustable upper ball joint like in the D35 TTB? That would allow me to build like maybe a 3-4" radius arm drop, which I would prefer. RB

I just happened to be wandering around today and nticed these on bcbroncos (http://www.bcbroncos.com) and they may work for you although I don't know exactly how you would set the torque preload needed properly and then get them spun to where you want them...

okay napa numbers i got

+/- 1.5 degress (goes with the upper ball joint) #264-2065

they also have shims that can go between the spindle and knuckle, looks like adjusteable between +/- 1.5 degrees (flat shim, looks like a wheel spacer)
6 bolt spindle #264-1971
8 bolt #264-1973
