hey guys just bought a set of the rear chevy leafs looking to put them on my ranger wondering if should swap out some of the stock ranger leafs into the pack or just run the chevy leafs by them selfs. thanks for any help.

right now its my DD but i do plan on getting another truck down the road and turning this into more legit prerunner. right no i take it out to the desert and mess around to the local off road course and that kinda of stuff. the front is done for now i have camburg coils james duff radius arms and bilstien 5100 shock works it very well. the rear is stock so i plan on using the chevy leaf pack with flipin my shock shackle for now.

hmmmm you might be better finding a set of used Deaver springs or talkin to RaceRanger about his setup. the chevy springs will probably be too stiff for your truck, adding more ranger leafs will probably make it worse

ya what 84 ranger said. used deavers can be found for a little more than what you would spend doing the chevy leafs and everything. i got my deavers for 300. but if your really heart set on the chevy leafs then defintaley talk to raceranger.

I can buy a set of chevys for 40. and the say another 10-20 on nuts and bolts. Sorry that is a long way from 300. But that being said I would still search CL for a set of deavers. they are always on there for about 3-400 they wil be more sutible for your app. you also my think of going down to a spring shop and get a new pack made off of the chevy main spring.

i do agree with ya ranger for teh lenght but teh leaves themself will be stiff when jumpin or give lots of buck when hittin whoops due to no real preload and lack of full size truck weight.

Kieth, if i were you and you wanted to keep teh chevy pack, id look for some long thin springs from other truck (thin meaning thinner than the chevy ones) and gradually get shorter ones of the same thickness. that would be your best bet if you wanted to cheap, or as i stated before, look up Racerangers thread on his rear springs and build what he did. i believe he didnt have more than 200 bucks into it with shocks.

well i sold the chevy leaf pack yesterday what i paid for them 50 bucks. so i think im just gonna wait to do the deaver leaf pack with a camburg shackle. if i can find a set i live in nor cal. not a lot of stuff up here for them. but know you got me kinda interested in the durango spring how did that work out for you??

I don't have any seat time in them yet. They did give me 3" lift with a shackle flip and no blocks. This is on my B2. I'm itching to get the truck out for a rip. I've done lots over the winter. It's going to be like a new truck.

BTW. I added an Explorer main under the Durango main for more support. Also the Durango center pin is 1.5" forward from where the ford one is.
