will the temp sensor cause the iac to stay open and cause a high idle

I was about to say:

"Since when does an IAC "need" anything else to cause it to phuck up?"

AD

probably a leak in the intake gasket or vacuum lines.

I had my EGR sensor replaced and a new intake gasket a couple weeks ago the idles been good so far

no when i unplug the iac the truck dies [depending on the temp] so that eliminates a vac leak anywhere
this is a good working iac was removed in a good working order my orig also had a spacer plate looked like a iac bypass

replaced the temp sender to the computer made no dif in idle

idels normal now i did nothing to fix it but rhe cel comes on and off throut the day and the responce off idle is alittle slow

Find out why the CEL is coming on and off. It should have stored a memory code.

nope Nada it still does it checked for vac leaks ant there is no leak I'm beginning to suspect the o2 sensor as that is also probably a factor in my case of getting 12 mpg
