88 transfer case question

Does anyone know what are the wires for that come out from the 2wd transfer case by the speedo cable? is it a speed sensor?

yes it has to do with the cruise i think

Well I thought that too, but when I checked in the JY I found the same thing on a 2wd (mine is 2wd also) the cable runs forward in the frame well and is tucked into the crossmember and not plugged into anything. Also mine is not plugged into anything and cruse still works.

I haven't checked to see if mine plugs into anything on the other end, but if you take out the whole plug with the speedometer gear and everything, you see that it's all one piece. Can't imagine it being anything other than a speed sensor.

I do have a 4WD instead of a 2WD.
