Hey guys I'm getting ready to start my tranny swap from an a4ld to a 5 speed, I have all the nessesary tools and parts, I am just wondering if my drive shafts will work or will I need new ones?

depends od what 5 speed you are swaping. iirc the m5od is the same length

Correct. What tranny are you trying to swap in?

I'm not sure at this point. all I know is that the donor truck is an 88 with a 2.9

i just swapped a a4ld to a M trans and my drive shaft did not work i needed a new yoke and the drive shaft is still short by about 3 inches.

i just did one and it was a complete bolt in
