can i still fit a camper shell with pulled bedsides

i was thinking about pulling my bedsides 2.5 maybe 3 inches out and wanted to know if i can still fit a camper shell ontop with out it rubbing its a 98 ranger has anyone tried this yet?
 
pulling bedsides has nothing to do with the bed rail location

so yes, you can run a camper top
