i dont have anything really to say about them i work with what the market asks for. but i looked them up on line and i dont like they way they are made, the baskets look like there designed for show not for go, theres not alot of basket material holding everything together, and everything being covered and chromed cant help in the heat dispersion, and that will lead to shorter life span.
why i dont like them ummm... well heres the big ones. power is over rated, basket distorts way tooo easy, sound like butt when you push 3/4 of the power they are rated to them. last two i had were 1000 watts a piece. i push 1200 to both and they sounded like crap and over heated causing the baskets to warp. they used to make a good quality sub, notice i said good not great, but i think the last 6 years or so they lived off a name.
i got an awesome deal on mine so im not complaining its model number aw1006t brand new, and an alpine 5 channel amp brand new for 150.00 good nough for me since my last sytem was a crunch 400 watt amp and 2 pg subs. rite now im rocking pioneer subs with an xplod amp. so im def getting an upgrade with the said stuff above
Do you guys have any thoughts on these Audiobahn components? I hate the chrome basket, but if you could leave that off and put them behind the door panel I'd be fine with that. I'm just looking for a cheap set of speakers for the Ranger, and components at that price sound too good to be true.
