Yeah, saw that.. All in all it would be a big win for them both. I really love both companys and products (I'm IT) and am not sure about it. I like them both for different reasons.. It would be like Ford buying Dodge.

They support Linux now AND Solaris I find superior to the any other Linux flavors.

The same way they support Linux, AIX, Z-Series OS, and Windows today!

oracle makes more sense...the #1 database matched up with the #1 platform/os
