Anyone know the proper fitment size of universal hub for a 1996 ford ranger xlt so i can install a new aftermarket steering wheel? I havent been able to find the specs i need.

also, if anyone knows anything i should know before i take it on please tell me.

btw, im also installing projector headlights, so if anyone knows how to wire them, let me know.

Thanks!

For the Steering wheel, you can get a mounting kit from Summit if they make it. Best way to go.

you may having problems finding something becouse of the air bag...i know where i am from if your car/truck has air bags you are stuck with the stock wheel

that is kinda how it is in new york too but, i called a ins shop and the guy told me that i could install an aftermarket wheel in my 95. the only hitch was that i cant go after ford for any kinda of injury do to not having a airbag

Actually, you'll probably be able to find steering wheels easily, the main problem is not your safety (if that is not a concern to you), it is your inspection sticker. In Texas (some metros, not all), you cannot pass inspection with your Airbag light on. This means that if you really want to keep an aftermarket steering wheel, you'll have to switch it back to original every time Inspection rolls around.
