There is a plastic canister under air filter housing (has something to do with vacuum). One vacuum line from the canister goes to the throttle body, another goes to some type of sensors mounted on right side under the hood. Vacuum lines are color red.

Questions: does anyone knows what those sensors are, and what is the purpose of this canister.

Thank You in advance……

lead canister for fuel tank fumes. when your trk sits up fumes from your gas tank and residual inside the throttlebody are sucked into the can and collect there, when you crank your trk the vacuum line opens to allow the fumes to be sucked into your throttlebody and burned off. its for emissions and also helps to richen the mix a hair to help start the trk, this system should not be tampered w/ on a road vehicle, only repair the vacuum line if it is broken.

Thank You. However it's not a fuel vapor canister, I have fvc on the left side all the way forward. So, it has to be something else.

If you have a pic that would be helpful. It almost sounds like the vacuum reservoir for the HVAC controls. Does it look like a plastic one liter bottle?

No it does not. Also, I don’t have an AC....but pictures is an excellent idea. I’ll post them tomorrow.
