So I notice yesterday that my rearend was making a squeaking sound, today I was much louder but only when I accelerate when Im in neutral there no noise or when I hold down the clutch. what can is be? its my dilay driver please help. by the way its a 7.5 rearend.

Most likely its your ujoint. Try spraying it with penetrating oil and see if it stops(temporarily stops)

I think you need a new mattress...:)

Other than that, it could be a few things...try jacking up the back end and spinning the tires with the truck in neutral...if no noise, put it in gear and if you hear the squeaking you should be able to follow the noise to a joint or maybe even the bearing on the drive shaft support...if you happen to have a two-piece drive shaft...

You will need a set of good axle stands, a flat, hard surface, and maybe an assistant to do this though...

Very good hopefuly its a simple fix now when I put it in gear should the truck be off or now?

You mean if you jack it up? The truck should be off...no need to have engine noise drowning out the squeak...but both tires need to be off the ground...unless it's a 4x4...then you may need to put it on a lift to check both ends...
