Break line questions

Im swapping a 92 explorer axle into my 86 ranger ex cab, do i need to use the explorer soft line and will it fit on my ranger hard line?
Or do i need to use the ranger soft line and make new hard lines for the axle tubes :icon_confused:

I swapped everything from my ranger 8.8 onto my 92 sploder 8.8 if that helps.

any body else do the swap?
I just need to know if i need to buy the soft line for the explorer for the swap or if i need to make new hard lines with the ranger soft line.

you can use the ranger softline.. all your going to have to do is make new hardlines from the soft line to each wheel cylinder.. ive done it.. but with a disc explorer axle.

I put on all new lines when I swapped mine out. I used the stock EX setup when I set it all back up.

That is what I am doing as well, also with a disk.

I like that it is centered on the axle in the Ranger, so it doesn't get a lot of movement as the suspension articulates. It is also tucked up and out of the way from getting snagged by something.

Also, I wanted to put new hardlines on while I was there anyway. The 13 year old stuff that came on it wasn't all that great.
