4.0 mas swap from 94 to 96

i have a 1994 4.0 ranger how difficult would it be to swap the mas from a 1996 ranger into mine i ask because i swaped the air intake and my mass dosent line up is their a problem with switching it can i just take the sensor from mine and put it in a housing from a 96 please help

yup you can totally do that. i took the sensor off my 2.3 maf an put it in the 4.0 maf and bolted it right in worked great for the 4 liter.

will this work even if they are not the same year :icon_bounceblue:

Hello

They should work if they are setup for the same injector size. Orange top to orange top will work. If its orange top (19lbs) to grey top (16lbs) the it would run rich.

thanks i'll try to get to a junkyard to get a housing but my plans are on hold right now since my grandmother is in the hospital with a fractured femur
