I was wondering of those who have done the 3" lift for a 4th gen how you went about installing the rear bumper brackets. Me and a buddy are trying to figure this one out and plus two of the bolts are insanely tight so we're hoping those bolts wont needed to be removed. If anyone could post a picture of how the brackets are set up...also I have a hitch installed, not sure if that might have something to do with it. Thanks for any help

No, it came with them. Just trying to figure them out and which bolts I need to take off, two of them are way worse than any of the body bolts so if we don't have to take those off i dont wanna :-)

You'll have to take off the brackets/bolts that attach to the bottom of the frame, they will be in the way now with the new brackets. And without fabrication your hitch will remain 3" down from your bumper.

Which will be fug.

You have a 10 year old truck in the salt belt.
Basically you have two options. An air ratchet which will probably break the bolt off or a torch which will definitely break the bolt off. :icon_welder:

thanks for the replies guys...and yeah those bolts are a b**** indeedy. I managed to crack one loose by hand...and i do mean crack. And actually, a buddy of mine has a body lifted 94 ranger, and his hitch doesn't look that bad even though its lower. Def. better than the gap between the tailgate and bumper!
