Axle Swap

I have a I have a 2003 Ranger Edge, 3.0L, 5 spd, 2WD, 4.10 rear. I'd like to swap in a used rear axle with trac-loc, preferably with a 3.73 gear. Looking at the Ranger Station, I found two possibilities, a F6 or R6. Are these direct bolt-in? Does it make any difference that the R6 is an 8.8 rear when mine is a 7.5?

As long as it is out of a ranger it will bolt right in, I'd deffinatly look for an 8.8.

The 8.8's in the explorer will need the spring perches cut off and welded into the top of the tube.
