My brake lights (tail or 3rd) are not working on my 94 Ranger. Have replaced all 3 bulbs and checked all the fuses under the dash. The fuses all appear ok and test ok. I bought the truck used and do not have a diagram of the fuse box to know which one exactly is the brake light fuse. Tail lights, turn signals, back ups all work. Is there another fuse somewhere? Thanks.

have you checked the switch at the brake pedal?

No, didn't know there was such a beast. Is it right at the pedal?

i haven't looked at mine, but usually the switch is located there, near the pivot.doesn't hurt to look,i once had a chevy truck do the opposite, lights on all the time.was simple adjustment.your situation may be more than adjustment.let us know.

Just for kicks, where is the fuse for the brake lights. Might as well check that a third time while I am in there!

On a '94 it's the blue 15A fuse #10, with is lower left of the flasher. If there's no power there (your domelight will be out, too), check the 40A fuse #2 in the underhood distribution box. Check your power going into the switch on the Lt Green/Red, and then for power coming out, pedal pushed, on the Lt Green wire. You got power coming out, then you have an open circuit between the switch and lights.
