Need some serious engine help Please

So my 95 ranger finally gave out on me which is ok i want to get a refurbished engine but the only place ppl refer me too is Autozone and i know there are others out there, only thing i can find on the Net are just private seller people and i dont really trust that so if anyone knows of a company that sells refirbished motors or any help at all please let me know i gotta get my truck running again...So either reply to this or Email me back...

im with mixwell. buy a crate engine or build ur own. my neighbor is the best but i live in pa

Yeha well the only thing is my Ranger is my everyday, and i dont have the money to buy a 302, or the rear end or the trani, i just got my taxes back and figured saving the old one for parts and buying a rebuilt motor for like $1600, and throwin it in....

How much money would you be willing to spend? Would you consider rebuilding it?

Oh rebuilding of course but i think its not rebuildable, i wanna spend around $1500

engines w/ around 300k on 3.0s have been known to be rebuilt buddy, the rebuilt engine will be the easier/quicker dropin answer tho. if you get to the point after you get the new engine in and want to rebuild the old one as a spare or sell it you should be able too as long as the cylinders arent smoked beyond .030 and the heads arent cracked to pieces.
