1986 Transmission question !

So the transmission check oil bolt is warped and a I cannot get it out. :bawling: so can I put transmission fluid through the shifter? Its an 1986 ford ranger 2.9 4x4 manual transmission. Thanks!
 
i believe you can put it in through the shifter but you would have no way of determining if it is full or not since it cant flow outta the fill plug. your best bit would be to get that fill plug removed, maybe try one of those gator sockets??? i've had to do that before and it worked.
