I read about these for ages, thought maybe one day, then I got a deal on 33" TrXus M/T 's and needed more room. Going to do the 4" - 6" spring swap in the front and to balance it out Belltech shackles in the rear. The shackles are a well finished and solid looking part , about 2" longer then stock but you only get about a 1 - 1 1/2" in lift due to the spring displacing them further rearward. The only trouble installing them was taking the old ones out ( I have submitted a article for the library). I seem to have gotten a easy 1" - 1 1/2 " of lift AND a smoother ride. So as of 2 days after install I heartily endorse this product, I will update later in the year after I have a chance to wheel them.

yeah I finally got around to installing mine, last night actually. removed the f150 blocks I had in the rear and replaced my stock shackles with the belltechs. I kept about the same ride height (6 in lift) It definately free'd up alot of flex in the rear and my truck runs quite a bit smoother.(the bushings in my old shackles were shot to shit. fairly easy install, had to cut about a foot off of my exhaust to keep it from rubbing. Didnt cause any driveline vibration despite a slight change to the pinion angle from removing the blocks on the 8.8.
Id recommend them to anyone seeking a little lift or additional flex.

What I meant (and will fix) is that the shackle is 2" longer then the stock one BUT due to the spring pushing the shackle a little further back you do not get 2" of lift out of it JUST 1- 1 1/2 " total lift.

Agreed, great shackles for the money. I've been running mine for about 3 years now with no problems, excellent flex, and great ride.

The reason you only get 1-1.5" of lift is due to the fact that you're only lifting one end of the spring 2". If you lifted both ends of the spring 2", you would get more like 2" of lift. In fact, it's the exact same reason 1" of spacer under the front coils will net you 1.5" of lift. :icon_idea:

this could very possibly the dumbest question, but im goin to ask anyway.

Im going to crank my torsion bars and add the shackles in the back, should i replace my shocks with some that are a little longer or just keep the stock length? thanks for anyone who answers

Maybe, check how far your wheel on a given side drops with no shock and it it is less with the shock on then you need longer ones.

Belltech is the brand, 6400 is the part number. IIRC there is also 6700's which will give you more lift but possibly awkward handling due to axle shift from LONG shackles.

I have a set of ebay shackles made for 2 inch drop on a Chevy. They look almost Identical to the Belltechs. I they flex awesome with the 64" Chevy springs. With the springs and shackles I got 6 inches or lift.
