today i started my truck went back inside the house come out to hear my truck dying out. so i hit the gas and nothing, it was still boggin. i shut her down then started it, dident do it so i thought everything was good. then at the mcdonald's drive thu guess what did the same thing.
so my Q is what would cause this to happen?
any info would be great
its a 93 4.0

Have your catalytic converter checked could be clogged up.

It could also be the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. If it fails, the motor does not get air while at an idle, which would probably cause that.

i used a different gas for the first time in over a year, that my have had something to do with it, but i guess ill start looking into the iac and see if that will fix the problem

and no i dont have a cat on it and never have

i guess the gas was crap, i just filled the tank at sunoco and no more dying out crap.

maybe it was the mcdonalds crappy fast food does that to my truck too lol

Ive had gas stations feed my vehicles bad gas. My solution is to carry winter gas line antifreeze. They come in large bottles or just tiny ones. The tiny ones are pre-measured for most gas tanks.

The stuff bonds to water and then becomes burnable as fuel. or at least more burnable then water normally is. =>

Ive actually torn my fuel system apart once trying to pin down just wtf was going on. I learned since then to try the gas line antifreeze first. before tearing shit apart =>

everyone told me to put some in once in a while during winter. did i listen,no
now i know
