tranny for 2.9

right now i have a A4LD on my 2.9 ranger. I was wondering if there was any better auto tranny i can swap the a4ld out for cuz ive heard bad things about them.
 
There's really no alternative. I seem to recall that Advance Adapters had worked on an adapter for the 700R4, but I'm not sure if that ever happened. I definitely haven't heard of anybody making the swap.

The A4LD isn't that awful if you put a decent oil cooler on it and keep an eye on the fluid. If you really get sick of it, swap it for an M5OD.
