I'll just clear the air now and say, I'M THAT GUY, but I like the newer fender emblems more than the old ones. So I got to thinking for 40 dollars or so I can put the newer ones on. My question is are the placing pins in the same location? Being where I am located I do not have access to my welder so I can't weld the old holes and I won't use body filler. My truck doesn't have the tailgate ranger emblem, so I am looking to just do the fenders. Any input or information would be appreciated.
 
im prety sure the new ones dont have pins.... tey are just 3m tape... not 100% though
 
pins are in the exact same location. Pop old one off, clean up surface, peel the sticky back, align in holes, push. easy stuff.

They have alignment pins just like all other ranger emblems.
 
Lots of people do that "mod". Like wannabe says, it's a simple swap. Unfortunately, they all have the damn pins, or I would have removed all emblems from day one.
