I have an 89 ranger and I just swapped a 86 2.9 in it cause my 2.9 was blown. I have put in a new fuel pump and also all new wiring underneath the hood. Ok so this is how the story goes I was driving back home and it started acting like it was out of gas and then it died and i tryed push starting it and jumping it and it would just crank. I got it home and put in a new tfi and also a new pick up coil well then i looked at the fuse panel and saw the eec fuse was blown. i then got another fuse and i turned on the truck and it blew again the fuel pump is not coming on and i need help with this is there a relay that im missing or something that would just cause the fuse to blow.
