I have what is, possibly, a running 2008 FX4 Ranger that may or may not be able to be rebuilt into a drivable vehicle. However, I'm pretty sure the engine is find (only 5000km on it) among other parts. Would it be a feasible option to transplant what is good - engine, tranny (?), etc. - into an older ranger/explorer?
From what is available in my area, 1990-95's are pretty common in the Rangers. I haven't checked the explorers.
