06 3.0L auto leaking from the tailhouseing ?????

not the best with trans if i pull it off is there going to be a messy puddle can i even get just that seal???
 
the ass end looks like a 4R70W and its leaking around the last two bolt mounts.
 
should be able to get a seal (if the parts house cant get it the dealer should be able to) but my suggestion would be to drain the fluid first. ive changed tranny output seals on humvees b4 and if you didnt drain the fluid down you had a hell of a mess.
 
The rear out put is easy to change out, just pull the drive shaft, pop the seal out and install the new seal. You will lose a bit of fluid when you pull the shaft, but not much.
