I just replaced my vacuum modulator on my 92 ranger 4.0L Automatic. And WOW what a huge difference. I flushed out the metal vacuum line, as it had some tranny fluid in it. I also had to turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise 2 turns (softer shift). My question is how soft (noticeable) should the automatic shifting be? Will I know if I over adjusted it and its to soft?

Thanks
I will just leave it like that, it works really nice wish I had done it sooner.

soft shifts generate lots of heat, if you want to extend the life of your trany go with a stiff shift seems counter intuitive but heat kills automatic transmissions
