im fixing up a 85 ranger 4x4 with a 4sd trans and a 2.8 engine i have a 86 bronco 2 4x4 5spd.will the 5pd trans from the bronco work in the truck.

Yes but, you will have to use the front driveshaft from the BII and you will have to locate a rear driveshaft for that model trans.

yes the engine is a 2.9 i still have both axles in my bronco 2.will i be able to use the slave cylinder and clutch from the ranger still because i believe the ones in the bronco are bad at least one of them is the clutch slips

Yes, everything else is the same. The shifter location is slightly different, You will need the floorplate and boot from thr BII in order for the boot to fit properly.
