will a mazda motor fit my ranger?

i know the motors are the same i got a 2.3 with a cracked head and all i can get from my local salvage yard is a motor from a mazda i know itll fit but ive heard the wirings completly different. how should i go about this im thinkin ill use the rangers throttle body and such if i have to any tips? its a 92 by the way thanks

An engine from a 92 mazda will definately NOT fit- it is a japanese engine and nothing like the one in your ranger. You'd have to find one from 94 on up- that is when they were built by ford, 1994 on up. Japanese were 1993 on down to maybe 86 or so.
