I really like the look of those 1st gen Ranger shadows that have the stepside bed. So is there a way to make a stepside for my ranger? Can I just take one off an F150 stepside and just section it down the middle to fit? Or would the bed off the F150 stepside just look too tall?

I don't see very many stepsides anywhere so does somebody know if the dimesions are right?:D

i know there was a gu on rangerpowersports.com who used to have a shadow you should check on there

wouldnt it be easier to cut up a 3rd gen ranger bed to make it look the shadow bed?

you could:

narrow your present bed and attach some stepside fenders from:

-jcwhitney "dual kit"
-f150
-old chevy
-whatever you can find that looks cool
-or learn fiberglass and make your own

or take the whole bed off a '50s truck (flat sides, stepside fenders), and cut and weld to taste.

basically, the answer is yes. the real question is how much time and effort are you willing to put in? oh yeah, and some $$$ haha.

well i don't know if this is much help but i saw a truck on ebay a while back and couldn't figure out what was up with a 1st gen with flare side. i later learned that is was an older f150 flareside, that was sectioned. it lookied good to be honest it stumped me.
