hi guys, well, this is the thing, i have a pioneer mp3 player, with an amp on the rcaaux outs, but a buddy of mine is offering me an pyramid equalizer, it has 4 speaker connections, so i was wondering, can i connect the pioneer's 4 speakers to the eq with no issues?? i know that way im gonna get more control of the sound, and better quality, buti dont want to harm either the eq or my precious pioneer.
maybe someone who uses this setup can help me out here :icon_confused:
thanks!!

Is they pyramid eq just an eq or with an amp built in too? Does it have rca outputs or only speaker wire input and outputs?

well, he says its just eq, no built in amp, it just has speaker wire ins and outs, no rca

I am a bit confused.. It has 4 speaker outputs, where is the input? The speakers are going to need some sort of amplification. The only way I've ran an EQ is inline the pre-amp outs to an amplifier in the back.

Do you know the model #?

Pete

no i dont have the model #, he says he used it connecting the 4 spekares from the radio to the eq, and the to the speakers, he is gonna explain me better tonight, i am not pretty sure of installing it, but i still want to be sure if i can use it

If he hooked the speakers up to the eq then there has to be some form of amplication in the eq itself.
