Wheres Overdrive

just recently i was towing my trailer up a hill with my bike in the back and reached to turn

on my overdrive and it didnt work at all not even a light i checked the fuse and it looked

fine anybody have any ideas on what else it could be
 
there is no light to indicate the overdrive is ON.

there is a light that illuminates when you turn the overdrive OFF...
 
yeah i know but that light doesnt come on and it doesnt work at all i think i have a short somewhere

thats blowing fuses cause the one i just relaced is blown
