Its a 2 step process. First torque em all done to 50ft pounds. Then once all the bolts are to 50ft pounds 2nd torque is an addition 90-100 degree's. I will do numbers to show the bolts for you and start from one and go to ten.

front of the motor is to the left...

Umm, if your working on your '86 that's not the right torque sequence. You do NOT have torque-to-yield head bolts. Unfortunately my manuals are up in the shop but, off the top of my head, torque is done in 3 steps, 30, 60 and 95ft-lbs.

The torque pattern is correct though.
