ok fixed the linkage problem, now after taking the truck for a drive the c6 automatic didnt want to shift into the next gear...what would cause that?
 
Do you have the vacuum modulator hooked up?? To vacuum source that has full vacuum at idle and decreases as you accelerate.
 
im actually not sure if i do, i know the hose is on the modulator but i never checked if it were hooked up to a vacuum source, ill check it out tomorrow thanks
