Southern Cali mechanic?

Any of you guys know of a good honest mechanic in the LA or San Diego area? My 92 Ranger needs a clutch and some other assorted TLC and, in addition, I'll want to start building it up after the tax refund rolls around. I'd like to deal with someone you guys know and trust.

you'd be better off learning and doing it yourself in my opinion. Where at in so-cal? I'll help you with the clutch for a case of beer

Family type of shop. fair prices and always have been upfront with me.

If your truck is a 2wd 4 banger. its really a very easy job.worst part is bleeding the clutch.

v-6 trucks are also pretty easy.sometimes the exuast can get in the way,compared to the 4 bangers.

4x4's you just get a extra step with the T case. still straight forward and rather easy with air tools.

My self Id take the 200ish dollars that you would spend in labor and buy a graigs list air compressor and a 1/2 impact gun.(harbor fart 1/2 "earthquake" gun is not bad for its price.
