Currently I'm not getting the best millage about 250km to the tank. And i am looking to get a tune up, I'm looking at doing a tune up since i bought the truck used with 145k km now the question is is plugs, wires and the fuel filter enough or is there something else i should look into replacing? Also for plugs i have the choice of NGK G powers 9.99$/2 or motorcraft for 7.22 a plug and motorcraft wires for 91.35 or champion for 69.99 is buying motorcraft really worth the extra 30$?

i'm not sure about the champion wires, but the motorcraft are 8mm from the get go, plus you get 1 year over the counter parts sales warranty against defects. thats the route i would go with both plugs and wires :headbang:

at least go with the motorcraft plugs, wires you could go either way.

I used Champion wires on my 96 and I regret it, for $7 more I could of got Bosch and they come with lifetime warranty but they were sold out and I was in a hurry. I noticed with my champion wires the crimp comes off fairly easy and gets stuck on the sparkplug and you cant really repair it , I had to replace 1 so far.

Check the air pressure in your tires. Even if they look okay they can still be down like 10lbs of air.:icon_thumby:

Air filter...and ditto on the tire pressure...amazing what a bit of free air in the tires can do for both gas mileage and ride...

I'd also change the thermostat if you haven't done it...and the PCV valve might be a good idea also...they're both relatively inexpensive and easy in most cases to change without too much tear down...
