do i have the wrong combination?

Mass confusion here and hope i can get some help.

I am swapping in a EB44 into my Ranger. EB bottom coil spring plates, 5.5 EB coils and 79 bronco upper coil buckets. Everytime i go to try to mount the coils into the vehicle they are always off by 90 degrees bottoms relation to the tops if that makes sense. I can mount them into the bottom plates and then when it comes to ataching them to the coil buckets they are off by 90 degrees and dont sit correctly and vis versa.

Do i need 78-79 bottom plates? Do i need EB coil buckets? I really want to use the 79 bronco buckets cuz if i use EB buckets im going to have 2 much lift since they sit lower..please help!

Im wondering if 78-79 lower seats are different than the EB stuff, i think thats my problem. Its gotta be that OR does anybody know if 78-79 coil springs are different? Hmm..

i think they are the same as far as the coil mounting from what i can tell from pics. Its just the heights that are different but thats not the problem here.

If it comes down to it i could always rotate the bottom plates and redrill the 2 holes..but i might as well return these plates and get the others if they are indeed different. Bronco Graveyard website lists them seperate

im really convinced i have the wrong bottom plates. Shooting over to the Graveyard later since its not that far from me, going to compare them to findout for sure. Ill keep u guys posted. Came to conclusion that the coil springs are all the same as well as the buckets so it has to be differences in the coil plates.

well none of my parts were the problem. Apprently with lift coils they aren't gonna sit in the lower cups like a stock coil would. I went to the graveyard and talked with them, glad to get it straightened out.

If you are using the EB Spring and the EB bottom plate then the spring should work. The newer springs are smaller on the bottom I believe, at least on one end.
Are the Radius Arm mounted too high on the frame ?
Depending on the lift, the RA Frame Mount should be dropped to keep the spring mounting points almost level.

Where is your pinion facing ?
Sound to me like it should be way too high or too low.

I used the EB Bucket when changing the 93 Explorer to EB44, I positioned the pinion angle where I thought it should be , referencing the wheel knuckles and mounted the Bucket parallel. Just me way...

5.5" coils which should be equal to about a 3.5" coil since my coil buckets are mounted way up there higher than the stock location. I shouldn't have to get dropped RA brackets, the 79 bronco RA brackets i have now have the most drop from the factory (more than EB's) we will see once i get the truck back on the ground. If the pinion angle is off i can always use your method of making the buckets more parallel with the knuckles. I also have a tcase clocking ring if need be.

The coils always seem to sit funny when a bronco is lifted. I know that the EB coil is a smaller diameter than the fullsize coil so you have to use the correct bottom plates for your coils.
