2002 color or repaint?

I need to know about the color on a truck. 2002 xlt 4x4, if you look at the truck from the front it looks like a metallic purple. If you look at it from the rear it looks metallic blue. Is this factory or a repaint? the color matches up all over the truck... under hood, behind cab, etc. What color is it?

I checked the sticker and apparently the guy kept the truck clean enough to have wiped the ink off the sticker to the point it can't be read well enough to get the paint code. I've looked around online and can't find a place that cross references the VIN. Anymore help? :icon_confused:

Hmm, sounds like my truck, a 2003 XLT, I am deep wedgewood blue, color code LL.

From certain angles it looks purple, others blue, and in certain light almost looks black.

The bill of sale says I recieved a black truck, but its not black.

Is this you color?

could be sonic blue paint, certain angles and shades of light it looks purple then dark blue, if u beam a flashlight at the paint it looks purple. my reg says its purple, code on door was pulled and it was sonic blue

The pic of the 250 is about as close as I've seen. it has the purple, blue, green kind of tint to it. I've checked Ford, and about everywhere else and thought the Wedgewood was it, but I really couldn't get a TRUE looking paint color. As for the Sonic blue is there a site that I might get a color swatch from? THANKS A LOT guys. Your info has helped me tons!

Just did some color shopping and I'm gonna lean toward the Wedgewood. The Sonic blue seems a little too blue I think, but I'm looking at a picture not a paint job! Again, thanks guys you all are a great asset to those looking for info.
