Hey guys, researching (further) some possibilities I have this next winter.

How much will putting in a locker effect my mpg? And are there any lockers you would recommend for high mileage road usage?

get an arb air locker. i think you can lock it in when you need it and unlock when you dont need the effects of a locker. someone correct me if im wrong.

91 - that sounds right but you need to install a air tank to make it work
koda - i dont think they have a significant effect on mileage, as they have a relatively low rotating mass the thread on lockers has a lot of people running lockrights

im gunna put one in my axle when i get the time and money

Aight, that's mostly what I was worried about. Still don't know if I'm going to go with lockers though, it would be hard to fit a 4-500 dollar purchase in with all the other things I'll need to buy..

A Lock-Right should be around $2-300 depending on the application.

closer to $350 shipped

well if you woulda said a price range i mighta been able to help a little better lol

A Lock-Right needs no setup--which costs a few hundred itself.

It makes no difference on mpg.

Thats about as cheep as a locker can get. might get lucky on ebay or craigslist.

I got the lock-right in my D35 for about $175 shipped on eBay. It was used, but in fine shape... The one for my 8.8 however was $300 plus shipping.
