Help!!!!!!

I have a 98 ranger ext. cab with a 3.0l 7.5 rear end with 4.10 gears. Now the problem/ Question i have, a friend of mine has a 1994 Ranger Ext. Cab with an Explorer 8.8 with 4.10 gears and a mini spool under the truck right now. He just bought a ford 9 inch/ dana 44 combo and is selling me the rear end for $250. My question is will this rear in swap to my truck no problem or will i have alot of work ahead of me?

Take the mini-spool out and drop an Aussie Locker in there.
