my buddy has a 90 bronco II 2.9 5-speed with im assuming this trany "Mitsubishi FM146 D 1988-1992 2.9L Ranger 4X4 5-Speed 3.76 / 2.21 / 1.51 / 1.00 / 0.81"

would a transmission out of a 88 ranger 4cy 2wd fit the bronco
 
Nope...bellhousing is different and the 2wd tranny won't bolt up to the BII's transfer case.
