I need to replace the 2.0 in my son's Ranger (long story). I have the 1988 2.0 that's in it now (not original engine), I also have the original engine, a 1988 2.3, AND I have a 1974 2.3 out of a Pinto.
Which engine would be the better one to rebuild? Is one head better than the other?
P.S. I changed the original EFI/computerized motor over to carb & no computer & am going to leave it that way.
